H4DK

A Promotional Website for a Rap Concert.

Overview

ReallyJohn is a Nigerian Gospel Rapper known for his smooth flow, punchy delivery, and conscious lyrics. In preparation for his scheduled concert tagged "HipHop 4D Kingdom", I designed and developed a promotional website landing page to provide information about the concert for his audience, with links to purchase tickets for parties interested in being a part of the experience.

Design Direction

To capture the soul of the concert, I designed the website around the brand theme that is "HipHop". The idea was to have a cool and interactive but functional website that users could navigate easily to access information about the concert. I built the site using Editor X.

Logo & Brand Identity

As a key visual element of ReallyJohn's brand identity, we decided on a logo that would communicate his image as an artist and his personality. Upon experimenting with multiple variations, the final design features the artist's name in a bold and stylized font, predominantly colored in a dark-blue shade to convey a sense of sophistication and intelligence, reflecting the artist's unique style and persona. The bold font used for the text "ReallyJohn" gives the logo a strong and confident feel, while the clean lines and sharp edges convey a modern and edgy aesthetic.

Mobile Responsive

Aware that most of the site visitors will access it from their phones, the H4DK promotional website was built with mobile in mind. To create a seamless experience for users on mobile, the website was designed using a simple and clean single column layout. The site content was also optimized for mobile, as is evident in how "Guest Acts" are viewed on small screens.

The use of purple as the primary color for the website's design creates a regal and luxurious atmosphere, setting the tone for an unforgettable concert experience. Green was used as a secondary color on the website to add a fresh and vibrant contrast to the overall design. Green, associated with nature and growth, was incorporated into the website's design to bring a sense of energy and positivity to the user experience.

The rich, deep shade of purple an a vibrant green tone is paired with sleek and modern fonts and graphics, to give the website a sophisticated and high-end look.
